The Tinton Falls Police are currently hiring. You do need a College Education, but you don't need police training. (Thank you to all those that helped in changing legislation with flaws but overlooked this issue.) If you are interested in working for another department that lacks loyalty to their brother and sister officers, then please apply. We all know that you are a better cop with college and no experience then being a decorated officer with 8+ years of experience in Law Enforcement. Great to use taxpayer money to pay them while in academy and pay for the academy training they receive, then have them ride with another officer for approximately 8 months to a year (thus tying up two officers and salaries to do the same job one officer usually does) and by the way the expense of running the academy and the salaries there that are not necessary because there are trained officers out there. This has been going on since 2008, I know there is a blame game going on out there, but the PBA did help get the legislation changed (a very minor change/s) but never corrected what needed to be corrected by making sure all laid off cops are hired first before anyone else, like we were all promised. I believe this is another PBA Local 251 represented department..... Amazing.
Goodbye 2011
Hopefully the last bad year.
December 2011
We are sad to report the shooting of at least a half dozen police officers in the last two weeks. Two of those shootings have been fatal. Our prayers and condolences go out to their families. These types of incidents are on the rise and must be stopped and dealt with harshly. We are all affected by incidents such as these.

Had a great time at the Expo. It was a huge success. It was nice to meet some of our members for the first time, to meet and attain new members and to gather more support/supporters. We are facing tough times. There is still a lot of the "you know what I heard and the that's not true, this is what I heard" The only way to stop that is to have one place, THE LOYAL ORDER OF POLICE, for all of us to keep one story and one place for everyone to go. We can network with the labor unions and others to attain true and correct information and to obtain good legal advice.
Thanks to all those that assisted me and supported me on this never ending journey to help my brother and sister officers. If you have somebody that can help, volunteer, provide actual verified data or legal advice, someone that can enhance this website or have any other information or assistance to offer, please put us in touch with them or vice-versa. Any financial or equipment assistance is greatly appreciated as well. Always provide sources, correct names and contact information along with type of assistance being offered.

Please remember to join us on Tuesday June 21 and Wednesday June 22 for our third annual booth at the NJ State Chief's of Police Association-Police Security Expo at the Atlantic City Convention Center. Rooms are filling up quickly, so book now. We hope that you will visit our booth and show support for your laid off brothers and sisters. We encourage you to get any and all NJ Officers to join us while membership is still free. Thank all of you again for your assistance and support and we will see you in Atlantic City. Be safe.....

State House Rally for All NJ Cops and Firefighters
There is a rally scheduled by the State PBA and State FMBA on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 11:00am at the State House. We encourage your participation if you are Regular Day Off or you are working 1st or 3rd shift. With that being said, DO NOT use any sick, emergency A/L or any other accrued time to attend this rally. As you can see the larger unions are involving themselves in the fight that we have been fighting for the last 3 years. This is not a job demonstration or a blue flue. If you do attend, do not show up in uniform. This was a great event. It was nice to witness the Sea of Blue. I have heard some things in their speeches that I have been saying for nearly three years. Hopefully it is catching on and we will continue on our mission. We must not fail....

I would like to thank all of you on behalf of my family and I for the kind words and support while dealing with the Death of My DAD. It is difficult to go through these things, but at times you can find peace in reading the emails, listening to the messages, reading the cards, talking in person, etc. I appreciate everything and anything any of you had done, no matter what that was.
February 2011
I would like to mention that the Milltown Police and Linded Police hired laid off officers, all of whom were sworn in yesterday. We offer best wishes to the officers in their new positions....

We are saddened at the news of another brother officer shot and killed right in our own backyard. Officer Christopher Matlosz, of the Lakewood PD is the latest victim. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family of the officer. The suspect is at large and the PBA is offering a reward that is growing. Any members that would like to offer assistance should contact the PD directly.

Congratulations!
NJ Cops Magazine 2010
Cop of the Year/Men of Honor Recipients
Officer Teehan deserves special recognition for being selected as the top winner of Cop of the Year 2010.
The following individuals also deserve recognition:
Officer Fielding, Trooper Castellano and Officer Racanelli (laid off and L.O.O.P. President). There are many officers that have made great contributions to this wonderful profession. It is sad that not everyone can receive such recognition, but their efforts and accomplishments do not go unnoticed or unappreciated. We commend all officers that have made a positive impact in their communities and to the Law Enforcement Profession.
Thank you to NJ Cops Magazine for having such a great program and hope it carries on. This is the first year they are doing this and will do Cop of the Month every Month moving forward. If you know somebody worthy of special recognition, please submit them accordingly and make sure you read this great publication each month for up to date events and news in the Law Enforcement Community.
GREAT JOB!

Our President went personally to the Little Egg Harbor Twp. Police where he had heard layoffs are pending to offer some information, give out brochures and business cards. We inquired of any rallies and are awaiting more information, no rallies are planned and the State PBA has not been involved, but left a message for the local PBA President as well. Atlantic City Police have also been contacted to offer some help with the pending second round of layoffs, we understand the PBA has been in touch as well and offering some assistance to this agency recently, unlike other agencies we have spoken to.
June 2010
We were pleased at the turnout at the Police-Security Expo in Atlantic City. The event was pleasont and we enjoyed speaking with all the Chief's, especially the Union County and Passaic County Chief's Association Members during our down time.

Essex County Sheriff's Officer "Zach"
Our Prayers are with you and your family for a speedy recovery. It is a sad time when officers are being laid-off while other officers are being shot regularly. Keep our streets safe with more police presence. All trained officers should be hired first, thus placing experienced/trained officers on the streets to assist in reducing incidents such as these.
